Acceptable Use Policy

Draft
This policy is a draft and will be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
OrbitPass exists to help businesses reward their regulars. Messages land on people's lock screens, so we keep them useful and respectful. By using OrbitPass you agree to these rules.
Your loyalty program
- Run a program for a real business you own or work for, and honor the rewards you offer.
- Only add customers who choose to join. Don't buy, sell or import contact lists.
- Respect customers' choices: marketing messages go only to members who opted in, and anyone can opt out from their card.
Images and your card
- Only upload images you own or have permission to use. Don't use another business's logo or trademark.
- No sexual or suggestive content, nudity, violence, gore, weapons, drugs, hate symbols, harassment, or anything illegal, in any image, name or text on your card.
- No photos of people without their permission, and never any images of children that aren't appropriate for a family audience.
- Every upload is screened automatically, and we may review it before it appears on a card (usually 1–2 days) or check cards after they are live. We can refuse or remove any image.
Messages
- No spam, scams, misleading offers, or offensive, hateful or illegal content.
- No links. Messages are plain text and links are removed automatically, which protects customers from phishing.
- Each customer receives at most 1 marketing message a day and 3 a week from your business, blasts and automations combined. Reward and service messages don't count.
- We filter messages against a list of blocked words and may hold or remove messages that break these rules.
Your account
- Keep your login secure and give staff only the access they need.
- Don't try to get around plan limits, scan fraud checks or security controls, or access another business's data.
If the rules are broken
We may remove content, pause messages, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without notice. We'll tell the account owner why when we can. Illegal content is reported to the authorities.
